3D Floor Murals Incredible Optical Illusion Designs

We have murals on our walls and ceilings, so why not have floor murals? We’ve been blown away by optical illusion 3D chalk drawings in the past, but these intricately painted floor murals bring that trippy feel into your home.

This gallery includes creative floor murals from around the world, such as the gold fish pond floor by Michael V Las Casas, the swimming pool ad mural, the mosaic globe at the Denver Airport, floors with men climbing out of a grave, Grizzly Bear And Cub With Paw Prints floor by Samuel McPeek, Gears of War floor mural, random floor paintings, and a vintage photo of a man working a floor mural circa 1940.

Magic Transparent Screen Clear Desktop Laptop pc

These invisible screens are a great trick to do on your background image, although their creator does not provide step-by-step instructions for the average Joe or Jill. I have a feeling that it involves a screenshot and some tweaked computer background settings.

Nerdiness aside, you cannot knock the really awesome visual effect that these screens give. They’re clearly well worth the geek time spent in setting them up.

Luxury Brand Scarring Fashion photography

Swiss artist Daniele Buetti prefers to work with multimedia, and these powerful images are a good example of her thought-provoking work which often involves glamorous models, celebrities, photography and scarring.

These women have all been under the scar treatment of luxury brand names. Are they scarred, tattooed or earmarked by these famous luxury perfume brands? It makes you wonder what is going on, which is part of the artist’s intention.

Daniele Buetti lives in Berlin and Zurich and has been widely exhibited with her Photoshopped artwork since the mid 80s. Her art plays on gender, identity and consumerism.

I hope that scar-thing isn’t what happens to shopaholics!

Ass-Kicking “Game Girl” for Vogue

Top fashion model Daria Werbowy is kicking major ass in “Game Girl”, the action packed editorial of the May 2009 issue of Vogue Paris.

Photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, “Game Girl” was set in an out of the way little deserted villages and dirt roads. This rugged, arid background complements Daria’s various skimpy ensembles of denim wear such as cut-off jeans, jackets and mini-skirts which were all worn over color-rich and seductive lingerie. The footwear of choice was cowboy boots.

Vogue Paris is famous for embracing that strong, powerful, dominatrix type of woman, and in this issue Daria embodies her very well in an ass kicking editorial. Inez and Vinoodh’s raw sort of imagery brings so much life to the action packed images, and of course Daria has much to do with that. The issue continues to embrace the “Irresistible Jean” theme and Emmanuelle Alt gives us some of the seasons hottest jean shorts and jackets as well as sexy swimsuits and kick ass boots. Rich Grunge Controversial Viral Video

A controversial photo compilation is raising some eyebrows among the luxury and celebrity bloggers because of the provocative poses and faces. Arno De France created this compilation of photos including rare shots of Madonna, Kanye West, Karl Lagerfeld and others of the rich and famous crowd.

De France took his inspiration from David LaChapelle and Terry Richardson, who like the grunge aspect of celebrity portraits.

By compiling these two intense factors in a graphical masterpiece, De France depicts a liberated lifestyle that contains no boundaries. Such liberation, he says, is controversial, but also glamorous in the most understated way.

De France compiled a video showcase which reflects his style of art in a slideshow complementing Mickey Avalon’s “So Rich, So Pretty” hit.

Since moving to Cannes, Arno De France has been motivated to establish his name in the world of art, aspiring to open his own gallery and develop his artistic interests further.

Nerdy 90s Street Style

From plaid jacket to (gasp) black Converse boots, the 90s grunge look is back in full swing in Denmark’s capital. Greasy, long, unkempt locks for ladies and the head-to-toe Denim Dan look for gents were spotted by Danish photographers.

Other popular looks for Copenhagen street style for spring 2009 includes wearing tights under shorts, big scarves and, for both men and women, thick-rimmed, black nerd glasses.

Lingerie Lounging on Sofa

The innocent good-girl Mandy Moore shows her sexier side in the May 2009 issue of Details Magazine.

Clad in black lingerie and nightwear, Mandy is captured by the master of lush photography, Matthias Vriens.

Mandy Moore’s adult look is a reflection of her transition from pop to acoustic rock in her new album entitled ‘Amanda Leigh.’ The album is set to be released May 26, 2009.

The album’s first single is “I Could Break Your Heart Any Day of the Week.” See the fifth image in the gallery for the album’s sexy cover.

Plunging Dress Faux Butt Cracks

Hussein Chalayan turned heads with his Fall 2009 show with one particular dress design. Following on the “ass crack” trend created by a particular pair of Alexander McQueen jeans, Chalayan designed a dress featuring a fabric crack.

Chalayan, a conceptual designer, created the dress as a comment regarding the current crack revealing creations. The short glittery dress features a skin toned fabric layer with an ass crack imprint on the rear.

After stars like Heidi Klum were seen wearing crack revealing designs, Chalayan created the dress to both mock and join the trend.

A design for the trendy but modest, the Chalayan dress is a humorous take on an odd design.

Striking Fashion photography

Bright wide smiles have helped Francis Hills rise within the beauty and fashion photography scene in less than a couple of years. He is what you could call a top accidental celebrity and fashion photographer.

I love his work featured in the gallery above, which shows Hills’ great talent for beauty, great lighting and artistic settings. Even though the photographer first picked up a camera five years ago, he has quickly achieved credit as a rising star in the industry.

You can read more about the smiling photographer Francis Hills and his fast career elevation in an interview on CalumetPhoto.com

Handbags Exquisite Mini Purses

In times of financial crisis, it’s all about going back to basics. For some, this may mean cutting luxury purchases out entirely, but for the fashionista, it means picking out only the bare essentials to fit into this season’s seriously tiny purses.

Many designers seemed to have come up with their own version of the mini purse phenomenon, with only their small size and sturdy composition factors held in common across the industry. Each purse effectively becomes a rare and precious object, like a small jewel of sorts.

I love the small foliage handle on the bag by Christian Lacroix and the eye-catching leopard print of the Cavalli purse. These mini purses can definitely take you from day to night and will add that attention-grabbing detail to top off any outfit.

Naked Heart Foundation

Natalia Vodianova has been a successful model for a number of years. She has graced the covers of the top fashion magazines and appeared in advertising campaigns for all the top designers. She is now the new face for Etam Beachwear and Lingerie, for which campaign images can be seen in the gallery.

Natalia Vodianova has used her fame and fortune to found a charity to benefit the children of her Mother Russia: the Naked Heart Foundation.
